One node is one registered agent. Every server, firewall, NAS, switch or user device you monitor registers one agent, and that is one node. A node keeps counting while it is registered, whether or not it is currently reporting, and it stops counting when you delete it from the portal.
No. Clients and users are unlimited on every plan. You are only ever billed on the number of nodes.
Nothing breaks. Everything you already monitor keeps running and reporting. You simply cannot register a new node until you move up a plan, and we will tell you before you get there.
